hey illkid,
Have you adjusted the crossfader curve control on the front of your VCI?
Is the curve still not sharp enough with this set as far as it will go?
Cheers

Hi Christian,
yep thats the first thing ive done, but the curve is not sharp enough.
The cut-in time is not ideal for tight scratches. I hope you guys can fix this.
I remember there was a rubber mod for the PMC series, would something like this work?
its pretty frustrating, am i the only one with this problem?

To be honest, its the first time I have come across someone having this problem... assuming your unit is working correctly then there is not a lot more we can do. I will pass the details onto the software developers so that they are aware of it.
Have you tried using any other VCI-300's, to make sure its not a problem with yours?

its not my vci-300, its a problem with all units.
more than 1year ago a serato mod said that vestax is working on a firmware fix for this
heres the thread www.serato.com
so whats up with that, any news?
other user are already taking their vci apart to mod the crossfader with screws
see this thread www.serato.com
will this void the guarantee?

Thanks - I will check up on the firmware fix. Are you running the latest firmware on your unit that's available?
And yes, taking apart your VCI and modding it will void the warranty!

I have checked this out illkid, and you are right that it can only be fixed through a firmware update (aside from modding your unit yourself).
I am currently waiting to hear back from the development team if this is in the pipline
Cheers
