Oh and when I try to load a track in the offline player while I'm building overviews, it stops building them right in the middle. I have to reconnect and disconnect my box and then I have to redo the tracks overviews again.

Also,... I think it's linked to the 33/45 switch... Usually happens on the left deck but seems to not remember SOMETIMES the state of the switch.
ie. The 45 button is orange but it's really at 33 in SSL. 45 on the turntable.
So I have to click again on 45 to switch it.

I also just upgraded my serato to 1.8.2 and upgraded osx to 10.5.5 and the offline player is acting up. I can load tracks ect but, once its playing it will never stop. So, incase you were wondering if upgrading your os would help: it doesn't

Hello balistikgelhed,
There is a known issue with the offline player on 1.8.2 using Mac where tracks will glitch in the first 3 or 4 seconds of a file.
Your issue sounds different though.
I will ping the Serato developers and see if they are aware of any related issues.
I have also noticed a bug with the RPM setting.
I suppose if its detrimental to you just go back to 1.8.1 for now.

HA! Forget my last post. I just downgraded to 1.8.1 so I could use my offline player to organize some things and the play button was still not working. But, the last time I hit it I noticed the record slowing down gradually. For whatever reason the INT stop curve was all the way to the slowest. So, upon inital pause, it appeared not to be stopping. Anyone else with this issue check your INT stop settings as they effect the offline player and may have come automatically on slow.

Hi there Balistikelhed,
I could not reproduce the Offline Payer issue you have described on the same Macbook, running the same OS.
Do you have any other audio applications installed on your macbook & or divers for external sound cards?
One thing you could try is to reinstall the 10.4.11 (combo update) & see if this fixes your issue.
As far as the Overview Builder problem your having, this is a known issue that happens when you load a track to the deck which is one of a few that has been selected to have its Overview built, either its currently being rebuilt or is awaiting to be done.
You don't need to reconnect your hardware to restart the Overview Builder, you only need to click on the Overview Builder button.

I have a dell laptop and when using the offline player, tracks play slow, it glitches throughout the track (sounds like a constant usb dropout), and glitches while scrolling through tracks or crates.
Don't know if it should make a difference, but had same problem using usb connection and using firewire connection.
Re-installed 1.8.1 and works fine.

Hey Zeb,
I have Renoise, Logic Studio and Wave editor, as well as a bunch of plugins and drivers for an RME Fireface 800.
I've been running 10.4.11 for a while now and it's the first time I notice problems with the offline player, so I'm quite confident that's it's a bug in the SL software. But I'll give it a shot.
Also, on the overview building thing, I always only select tracks that have already been done.

I too am experiencing glitchy playback in the offline player. It's choppy/glitchy for the first 3-4 seconds then plays at normal speed with random glitches here and there. If I jump to another point in the track, I get the same behavior where it will glitch for a few seconds then proceed.
Here are the specs of my setup:
Dell Inspiron 700m
Windows XP Pro SP2 - ACPI disabled.
1.8GHz Pentium M
Internal 100GB HDD 7200 RPM - 65% used
2GB RAM
No Devices connected to the laptop
Scratch Live specs:
-vinyl User
-Occurs using SL1 and TTM57SL
-not using iTunes to manage database
-all overviews built
I cannot reproduce this behavior in 1.8.1 or 1.8.0 which I have installed in tandem. It seems to be isolated to 1.8.2.
Thanks.

This glitchy offline player issue is known and will be fixed in the next update.
This is, however, not what balistikgelhed is experiencing.
If you want to use the offline player glitch free you can download 1.8 or 1.8.1.

If you're still having problems with the offline player, please give the 1.8.3 beta version a try -->> www.scratchlive.net
