If you open both programs together do you see the Ableton tab in Scratch Live? To have the .als option available you need to have opened The Bridge at least once, then the option will be there :)

Just to confirm, have you done the following:

Can you please tell me which version and build of Ableton Live you are using? You can find this by going to Live -> About Live.

it just says live 8.2 and my serial # no build

Also, are you in fact using 2.1.1? Verify on the set up menu.

If you open Scratch Live, open the Setup Screen and go to the Plugins tab do you have the "Enable The Bridge" option checked?

Sorry to keep asking these similar questions but from all accounts you've done everything right, so you should be able to see The Bridge!

as soon as i upgraded ableton it connected to the server and authorized. i kept ssl 2.0 installed and i renamed the new version "ScratchLive_2.1_" i renamed the old one "ScratchLive_2.0_"

You need 2.1.1 not 2.1

Are you using Ableton Live/Suite 8.2? The Bridge is not supported by Ableton Live Lite, Ableton Live Intro, Ableton Live Akai Professional APC edition and Ableton Live Launchpad edition, so if you're running one of these versions it won't work.

im definetly running 2.1.1 if you were a serato tech you could see my screenshots... Michael to answer your question, yes i am running live suite 8.2 do you suggest i re-install from scratch on both? ive already tried it with ableton and no luck

cool my bad, you did not mentioned 2.1.1 on the quote above, I'm def not a serato support tech. Therefore cannot the the picture, just went by what you said.

im having the same issue it just doesn't show up with neither my sl1 or sl3

im running ableton 8.2 and serato 2.1 and when i open ableton then serato it says serato pc error failed to establish a incoming path it does it with both my sl1 and sl3

i dont even see that option and im running 2.1.1(21122)

Can you please give me the specs of your computer (including OS)? Do you have Video-SL installed on this computer?


I'm afraid I'm not sure what this error message means, I'll check in with the Ableton guys and see what they say :)

WHEN I WAS WAITING FOR MY SIXTY EIGHT I TRIED THE LIVE 8.2 TRIAL WITH MY SL3, IT WORKED FINE AND .ALS APPEARD IN THE RECORD INPUT SELECTION

THEN WHEN I GOT MY RANE IT ASKED ME TO UPGRADE TO 2.1.1 SO I DID, IT ALSO ASKED ME TO UPGRADE THE SIXTYEIGHTS FIRMWARE TO V.1.13

NOW MY SERATO INPUT SELECTION I CAN CHOOSE:
1 PRE
2 PRE
3 PRE
4 PRE
INSERT
MIC 1
MIC 2
MIX

AND THERE IS NO OPTION FOR .ALS

ALSO THERE IS NO BRIDGE OPTION IN THE SERATO PLUG INS THE ONLY PLUGINS I HAVE THERE ARE:
SP-6
DJ-FX
SL3 AUX DECK
SERATO PLAYIST

hey guys i figured something out bridge works only with 4gb Ram

so if ur trying to use bridge with only 2gb ram it wont show up..

i had all the same symptoms i then put 4gb ram in and its fine now

i have 3 gb and it only shows half of the bridge

The minimum specs for running The Bridge are 4GB RAM, however it's surprising that The Bridge wouldn't show for you at all. Glad to hear you got it working though :)
