Starting last week, my Scratch Live has had an odd problem where I am playing and then out of nowhere, the sound stops coming out of the box and into the mixer. Everything else appears fine, the waveforms are moving, I can drag new tracks onto the decks, it responds to cueing, etc. I have been able to fix this by unplugging and plugging the USB cable for SL box, but as you can imagine, this does not help a dance floor much. All power management (screensaver, hdd, etc) is disabled and all other programs are shut down. I have also given the Scratch Live process highest priority via task manager.
Here are my specs:
Hp dv6t quad laptop
Win 7 x64
Core i7 quad processor
6 GB RAM
SL1 box
Playing off of pioneer MK3s

                                                Hello dainkenkind,
Unfortunately it sounds like your suffering from a known issue regarding the "i" series processors.
Read more about it here --> serato.com
Here is another thread regarding your specific sound dropping out issue --> scratchlive.net
Serato is diligently doing what they can on their end to fix the problem but it sounds like the ultimate fix is going to need to come from the manufacturer of your computer's website.
Scratch Live is not the only program/device having issues with these machines.
iPhones and iPods are also experiencing issues --> en.community.dell.com
We are suggesting that users contact the manufacturer to let them know about the problem. The more people complain to the manufacturer, the faster they will come out with a BIOS update.
Unfortunately there isn't currently a workaround:(

Thanks, that sounds like the problem. What exactly do I tell HP they need to fix in the BIOS? I am guessing that telling them Scratch Live isn't working right won't really point them in the right direction as much as if I give them something more specific.
Thanks again,
Nate

I have had absolutely no luck getting anything out of HP and don't have any relevant settings in my BIOS to tweak. I'm now stuck with a $1500 computer I bought to use with Scratch Live and it doesn't work. Any word on progress with a fix from the Serato end of things? Does the same issue exist with the new SL box?
Anything that can be done from the software side would be greatly appreciated since I'm guessing there are many others in this same situation.
Thanks,
Nate

                                                Hey Nate,
Serato is diligently working on a fix for this.
Rest assured its the top priority right now.
It appears as though this only happens with the SL1 and TTM57 which are usb 1.1 devices but Serato is still doing testing and I do not have a definite answer on that quite yet.
I'm sorry your stuck at the moment. I definitely feel your pain.
Hopefully a fix for this issue is just around the corner.

Having the same issue except I also use the video-sl plug-in. The sound drops out from the mixer suddenly, while everything else appears fine, my videos keep projecting on my extended desktop, the waveforms are moving, I can drag new tracks onto the decks, it responds to cueing, playing actual vinyl after switching mixer input works fine, etc. Here are my machine specs:
Asus G51jx-A1
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel Core i7 720QM(1.60GHz)
6 GB DDR3 RAM
SL1 box and TTM57 mixer
NVIDIA GTS360M
Still no definite fix on this issue?

Just curious, my buddy just splurged on that new HP "Envy" (Dr. Dre) laptop..
I told him he should of got a Mac.. He is buying it just for Serato.
Will he have any issues with that model HP & Serato ?
I think he said it comes stock with Traktor. SMH

You may have him try using SSL first.
He may be one of the lucky ones.
