Hi!
I was making some playlists for my set yesterday and found some weird behaviour with all my Whitelabel tracks.
When I preview whitelabel tracks strange things happens:
- when I listen to a normal track and then to a whitelabel track, I hear the previous track through it.
- whitelabel tracks sound VERY degraded, way more than the usual 32kbps when my hardware is not connected.
- when I load a normal track it plays ok, so it seems to be a whitelabel problem
My system:
Macbook Pro (preunibody) 2,4ghz, 4 gigs ram
Macosx 10.5.8
SSL1.9.2
VSL latest version
When I played my gig later that night with my TTM57 connected I had no problems with the Whitelabel tracks. So it seems restricted to playing them without hardware connected.
Anyone knows what the problem is?

Hi NLS666,
I've been reading your other thread regarding this (serato.com) and have watched the video you've attached and I have to say that's a very bizarre problem! For now I'd say that you'd be best to not analyze your Whitelabel files in Traktor.
Are you able to attach one of the files you've analyzed in Traktor to this thread for us to take a look at? Thanks :)

Hi Michael!
Ok, it get's weirder ;-)
I had the chance that I had one song (Mr Scruff - Bang The Floor) twice in my library. Both had been analyzed by traktor but I hadn't played them in Serato since.
While no hardware was connected, I dragged the first one to my desktop and file size is 9,3mb (which is normal).
Te second one I previewed first, got the problem again, dragged it to my desktop, file size: 916kb.
I got some Ghostbusters 3 happening in my laptop...
I also exported "Tight Jeans" (analyzed, not previewed) and Say Whoaa (analyzed, previewed) for you to examine.
Then I hooked up my TTM57 and played both the Mr Scruffs. I seem to hear a difference but it is not so dramatic. Maybe it's because I'm listening with crappy headphones, maybe it's because I just woke up and my ears are not fully working yet, but the 'small sized' one doesn't sound superbad. I'm under the impression that it sounds better than the normal 32kbps preview I get when no hardware is connected. Still I exported both versions again and the difference in file size remains. (I was kinda hoping that the lost bites would magically reappear after hooking up the Rane)
So...
Here's the link to the folder with the exports while no hardware was connected:

What I haven't tried yet (I'll wait untill I get more news from you) is to rescan ID tags in Serato before previewing/playing them. I'll keep my library as it is now, if you need more songs to check, they'll remain as they are now (apart from those that I have allready "slimmed down" ;-).
I hope all the songs that I 'lost' allready are still up on whitelabel.net, I'll try to check that out tomorrow or whenever I find some time.
Good luck with finding the problem!
Greetings,
Nils
