When attempting to use the right input the BPM which is normally around 130 drops to 96. The left one works fine, So I have been using instant doubles and just using one input. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a cure without having to bring the unit back? I am sorry, I can not longer read the serial number on my SL-1. It is faded. I purchased it in September 2008 in San Jose California. I presently am working abroad in Moscow, Russia. Please advise.

Hi iandje - what play mode are you DJing in? Do you have the right RPM setting for the right virtual deck?

I figured it out, feel so dumb to. I was using CDJs and it never occurred to me to check the 33/45 setting using a CDJ because they only have one speed. It appears to be working now, although tonight I was back on Technics and it was fine. Hopefully it was only the 33/45 mode that I (Human error) screwed up on.

Here is another question. I just DLed the newest version of Serato. How come the played tracks don't turn green anymore? I like that feature very much.

That's weird, they should do. And that's when you're going from decks left to right to left etc? Not just playing off one deck?

If so, can you please quit Scratch Live, go into your Scratch Live folder (which will be in your My Music folder), and rename the databasev2 file to something else, like databasev2.old. If you are using an external hard drive you'll also need to do this in the _ScratchLIVE_ folder. Does this fix the problem?

When I use Serato without the hardware the played tracks turn green, just as they have been. However, when I plug in the hardware they no longer turn green, but the tracks previously played without the hardware remain green. Yes, I did attempt renaming the folder. It did not work.

It was not turning green when I had my SL-1 Plugged into my computer. But if I was just using Serato without any hardware it went back to turning the played tracks green. I uninstalled and reinstalled the older version and it is working as I have been used to.

On a different note. Are you also affiliated with RANE Mixers. If so, you guys kick ass. The only mixer I have ever bought (This will date me) is my RANE MP24Z. When I started DJing in New York and San Francisco that was the standard night club mixer.
Today I am in Moscow, Russia and the standard over here, due to a very good promotional effort, is the Pioneer POS. I do not like these mixers. Any plans to promote over seas??? I would love to see RANE in the night clubs on this side of the Atlantic.

That's normal for the tracks to turn green when you've played them in the offline player, and also if you're playing from one deck to the next. If you just auditioned a track briefly on one deck, or weren't playing tracks fully like you would in a set from deck 1 to deck 2, deck 2 to deck 1 and so on, this would stop the tracks from turning green. Other than that, I can't see any reason why this would stop behaving normally. I tested this method and it works correctly for me with 1.9.2.

Yes we are partnered with Rane, and I agree their mixers are awesome, but we work specifically only with the Scratch Live related hardware, such as the SL1 and SL3 boxes, the TTM 57SL mixer and the MP4. If you're keen on finding out more about Rane's overseas promotion, you could try getting in touch with the sales and marketing crew at Rane www.rane.com :)
