I was thinking about buying Kueit, to get some type of effects for the VCI-300, but I havent heard anyone mention it here, if someone uses it, does it work? How do set it up with the VCI-300 to get sound out of the powered speakers to blend in with the mixer? Thanks for any inputs.

Just recently got the VCI-300 and used Kue-It on the same laptop with Serato SL. It works fine as The headphone jack goes to the aux line in of the VCI and you can adjust the levels. The only thing I had to do is adjust the playback option in sounds as the VCI tried to set itself as the default but a simple change will fix that. Works good and you can either have full screen or as I have been using halfscreen on the Kue-it program.

Thanks Southpaw, is KUEIT worth buying, if so can you write down step by step on what you have to do to make it sound right, you stated that a simple fix will not allow the VCI-300 to set as a default. Thanks in advance. I use the new MACBOOK PRO.

Kue-It is a great Interface (Thanks to Atlantic Records for the free one) I am thinking about making a video for it but i have to find my camera to show how it is done and its uses.

I would rather get Ableton - much better investment IMO.
No MIDI support kills Kueit for me.

Sorry about the PC thing.
I have not attempted that but the thing there if you can MIDI assign the VCI to SSL.
Do you have all the applications and hardware to test it?
I don't have my SL1 handy to test - It is out of town right now with another DJ.

how much is ableton compared to kueit? i don't have either but trying to figure out which direction to go, without spending $$$$$....i see kueit is only $99 and is capable of accomplishing the drops that i need for some of my mixes

Abelton Full version is considerably more but you also get a lot more for what you purchase.
LE is only 149 and it also comes for free with many MIDI controllers/Audio interfaces.
www.ableton.com
.....and one last thing - don't forget the announced "teaming up" of Serato and Ableton - that is a huge step in the right direction for the future.

Weird but no matter what you put it in to have Alphabet Soup register it will register successfully!

Any found an equivalent for kueit or GlobalFX that runs in the background for MAC? I don't want to be switching back and forth between the sampler program and ITCH and I want to be able to assign to the non used F1 to F12 keys?

Scratch that.....LOL.....I just found out a software I tried in the past was updated a few months ago. It is still in beta, but I am quickly tried it and it seem to do exactly what I want www.soundplant.org and the best thing its free! Working flawlessly so far, I can't wait to try it in a real set......anyway hopefully sampler support comes to ITCH from Serato soon

BTW, I also run Ableton via the Xone:DX for drops as well - sounds awesome!
I also went thru too many Nano's they all failed on me after a while - I now use the Denon HC1000S which doubles up for me with SSL
