As long as your machine meets the minimum requirements you should be fine. One thing to note is to be wary of machines with Turion processors as we have reports of problems with them even though the machine is above the minimum requirements.

i used an Acer with XP and it meets all the requirements BUT it made my worst nightmare come true. My laptop froze in the middle of a set at a club on my DEBUT NIGHT!!!AHHH...anyways, I bought a macbook pro a couple of days later and never had a problem since with it. If you plan on using it in clubs and other big events, then you should invest in a macbook and stop wondering if it will crash tonight. just my two cents :)
p.s. the acer had a turion processor too

It's probably best to test it out on your machine first if you can. You don't have to go for something as high end as a MacBook Pro, we have a Dell Vostro 2.0 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo with 3GB of RAM and it runs very nicely :)

If you get a pc with an Intel processor and run XP instead of Vista you'll be in good shape. I run SSL on a refurbished Gateway that I picked up for $550 and have never had any problems.

Im stuck then because my Acer does have Turion 64x2 and Vista.I just spent money on CDJ 800MK2,a Behringer DDM4000 mixer and over half of the money saved for SSL.Thanks for the help.

Just to let you know the Turion processor doesn't mean you will definitely have problems, it's just that the possibility is there that you may do. If you're able to have a test run of Scratch LIVE on your computer that's the best way to know how it will work :)

Thanks for all the help. This is one of the best forums i've been apart of,most people want to dog a newbie out instead of helping them out.
