it recognizes the songs but he does not play them. i have a new mac book pro 15".

What format are the files you are trying to play?

any type, aif, mp3, wav. they are files that i used to work with just fine when i had my powerbook but now with the new mac book pro, the same problems i had with the vci 300 appears on my scratch live too. i tied the same files on a older pc and it worked just fine. i downloaded the 1.8.2 version of the software but i dont have the hardware at home so i cannot tell you if this has resolved the problem. can you ?

i did not check, i dont use it that often. i could tell you but in a week or so. this problem is not frequent with my type of computer ?

I've not heard of this issue before. Best bet is to try it out on your computer and see how it goes.
