VSL keeps crashing MacBook Pro

Hey all heres the specs:
MacBook Pro
Leopard OS X 10.5.5
2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
256 MB Video Ram
Serato 1.8.2
VSL 1.0.2
320 GB Hard Drive 16MB Cache 7200 RPM

So here's the problem, I ran out of hard drive space on my factory hard drive so I decided to upgrade to a WD unit that was faster and had more room. Replaced the drive no problem did a clean install of OS X, SSL and VSL. reinstalled all of my music and video files and built all new over views. Every time I DJ now about 2 to 3 hours in SSL hangs and then crashes. It's not just a certain file it has crashed on different files. I have looked at the crash logs but have no idea what I'm looking for or even how to read them. I have copied and pasted below. Any help would be good, I have a HUGE gig that I'm collecting a lot of money for coming and I don't want to have to go back to using DVJs. I have never crashed before. Let me know if you want the other logs from crashes.

Hello trido,

I would test without your external plugged in to try and narrow down the culprit.

Move some files to your internal drive, import then into SSL, and play them on INT mode for an extended period of time.

If it doesn't crash then the problem is either going to be with your external or some files on your external.

If it does crash then it might be due to your computer overheating.

Let us know your findings and we'll go from there.

SSL freezes, than VSL. I did however have to reboot completely once. Don't the crash logs tell you this?

Since I'm not a software developer I'm not keen on crash logs.

Have you built all of your overviews and gotten rid of any corrupt files the builder found?

If so, then you might be suffering from an overheating issue.
Especially since you've suffered a complete computer crash.

Download this app.-->www.bresink.de to monitor the heat of your computer.
If you notice problems happening once your computer reaches a certain heat level then I suggest using a cooling pad or fan under your laptop.

Let us know your findings.

I've done this too, not an overheating issue as the temperature readings I'm getting are the same temperatures i was getting with my old hard drive.

I have built all over views and as far as I know I have no corrupt files. Like I said its never the same files that crash.

Even a corrupt file that isn't on a virtual deck can cause SSL to crash.
If its in your library it runs the risk of causing SSL to crash.

Please rescan your id3 tags first, then build overviews, and then delete any corrupt files the builder finds (if there are any).
