I Have just downloaded serato 1.8.2 from version 1.8.1 had a Korg Pad Kontrol midi controller setup. The problem is My midi controller worked in 1.8.1 but not in 1.8.2 it shows the assignments but there isnt a response i tried unplugging the controller and repluging it, and even plugging it back in and reinstalling the drivers. any help?

What preset on your pad Kontrol did you use when mapping everything in SSL?
It could be that you don't have that preset selected and therefor the pads aren't triggering the correct functions in SSL.

Can you re-map it using the the preset you currently have selected on your controller?

Does that preset still exist if you shut down SSL and re-open it?

I made a mistake earlier, i was using 1.8.0 and everything worked fine I never set a preset. but when upgraded to 1.8.1 my controller stop workings, so i went back to 1.8.0 and the same with 1.8.2 Ive never set a preset at all but when i try to remap everything again my controller doesn't even respond to the new maps (likes its not even plugged in) so answer your second question no I cant re map it. and your last question yes the preset, if your meaning my previous settings are still saved when I shutdown and restart serato.

If you go back to 1.8 does it work?

I'm guessing its going to be something outside of SSL.
I have a pad Kontrol and it works perfectly with 1.8.1 and 1.8.2.

Does your controller work with any other audio application?

We need to find out if your controller is talking with your computer at all.

yes it works on 1.8, and my controller works with my other apps like ableton live

just not 1.8.1 or 1.8.2

Just so we're clear... you still have 1.8 on your computer and its currently working when using that version?

Which build of 1.8.2 did you try? Can you confirm the build number for us please? (Its the number is brackets after the version number in the bottom left corner of the setup screen)

I have a denon HD2500 do i need the box to make the 2500 work?

Hm.. I'm stumped. If your using 1.8 with the controller working one second and then switching to 1.8.2 and its not working I would think it has something to do with the software but I'm not experiencing any issues with mine?

Try this:

Create a new preset.. call it something like '1.8.2 PadKontrol'.

Now hold down the 'scene' button on your controller and press the '03' pad.

Now try mapping a couple things in SSL.
Does it read that its mapping?

If so, go to setup and save that preset, shut down SSL, and re-open it.
Does it remember your settings?

Alright re installed ver 1.8.2
I created a new preset
and held scene down and pressed pad 03
I tried to mapping, and nothing its like its not picking up anything from the pad controller, therefore nothing can be mapped. when I shut down SSL and reopened it the newly saved preset is still there.

Having same problem with my Axiom 25!
Used to work in 1.8, stopped working in 1.8.1 and in 1.8.2 its still not working!
Please help me!?
I reseted the whole Controller, reinstalled Serato!

The controller is working fine with Reason and any other programms I tried!

Hm... I wish I had some other suggestions for you at this time.

I'm pretty boggled.

This is pretty strange alright, I have tried our padkontrol on a number of machines using 1.8.2 with no problems. Could you try using www.midiox.com and see if the padKontrol is detected with that program? We'll try some other things out here in the meantime...

well my pad kontrol works just fine, its just doesnt work on 1.8.2 or 1.8.1 for some reason
