check you haven't got the 'Protect Library' option on in the library tab of the setup screen.

Yeah that is not ticked - is it highlight in red and the press ctrl delete (backspace) or is it a combo of ctrl/shift delete - this is annoying!!

You should only need to press ctrl-delete, ctrl-shift-delete deletes the songs from your hard drive as well.

Are you using Leopard or Tiger?
Do you have FileVault on by any chance?

Hello, I am using Leopard (I think) and yep I do have File Vault on. I tried to turn it off but said something like I needed 440 GB of hard drive to do it- I've only got 150!! Any suggestions. It is really annoying as I imported my entire library. If I cannot delete - can I reset and then only import what I want?

Unfortunately there is a bug where you can't delete songs with File Vault on. I had this problem awhile ago but ended up turning off File Vault after it corrupted some of my files. No-one else ever complained about this till now :) but I'll make sure it gets added to the list of bugs to be fixed because I know it's quite annoying.

In the meantime, if you delete (or move) the databaseV2 file from your Music/ScratchLIVE folder then any songs that you haven't added to crates will disappear from your library.
If you want to get rid of everything you can delete the whole ScratchLIVE folder.
Alternatively, you can delete individual crates by deleting the relevant file in the Subcrates folder.

same here...since the update 1.2.0 can't delete files. And some songs from the iTunes Library can't be played:(
So have to put the songs into another Folder and import it directly into sera to...it´s a little bit annoying. Please fix it...!

Make sure you are highlighting the song in your iTunes library or in a regular playlist and not in a smart playlist (Such as "Recently Added" for instance. Smart playlists maintain the songs in the list based on set criteria so preventing you from deleting from one). Click on the Music icon underneath Library in the source list to bring up your song list in the main pane, locate the song(s) there that you want to remove and you should be able to delete, in fact, safeiwper ( www.safewiper.com ) also offer many wiping solution for iPhone or Mac, it can delete everything from iPhone and iTunes.
