Here are a few Hints, Tricks and Lessons Learned to get the thread going!

Mac Book Pro USB Ports:
If using a MBP, please note many find there to be a good port and a best port. for late 2008/early 2009 MBP, the port closest to the keyboard is best for your audio hardware. For the 2010 i5 series, most find it is the USB port closes to the screen. This resolves some users audio glitches and drop outs. So make sure you have tried this before opening a trouble ticket.
What should be disabled when performing live with ITCH?
Wifi, Bluetooth, any antivirus/firewall software, any backup/scheduler software, and any WebCam hardware. As a rule of thumb any software that auto detects the precence of its intended hardware should have that feauture disabled. iTunes has this with iPODs as does Time Machine with the intended hard drive. Most Wifi or bluetooth software will autoconnect to certain "trusted" wifi networks or devices. In order to do this it must constantly query for the existance of that condition. By disabling it, you disable that activity that consumes valuable CPU resources.
How to turn on BEAT SYNC in the middle of a set:
If you are already in the middle of a DJ set, but have been mixing traditionally/manually and would like to enable BEAT, be sure to activate BEAT SYNC on the currently playing track FIRST. This will make its tempo and beat count (1,2,3,4 for instance) the MASTER CLOCK. Any track you cue up after will then marry up with that tempo/beat count. If you do this backwards by turning on BEAT SYNC on the resting/cueing track FIRST and then the currently playing track SECOND, you will cause a skip in your main output track.
Using the Limiter Settings in SETUP:
Many are confused when trying to increase the amount of gain they have available to the master output. When you are changing the value of the limiter, remember that a negative value is reducing how much of the output is trimmed/limited. It is not reducing the overall volume.

UPDATE Regarding Macbook Pro USB Ports, Here is an article from DJ Tech Tools:
www.djtechtools.com
The 2010 13" still have Core 2 Duo and therefore the USB port farthest from the screen is the one to use.

the ns7 will need to be the most reliable device you have hooked up

Correct, the device that carries the audio will need the best possible connection. MIDI commands themselves do not require lots of bandwidth/capacity.

I like this thread, thank you DJChad72. I hope that more and more people start posting tips and tricks. My first tip for those who haven't purchased Itch hardware, BUY one! You won't regret it...

My tip to VCI owners would be purchase a back up crossfader before yours go out. Trust me its a headache if it goes out
