THE 2 CHANNEL RANE 59-SL

Henry GQ 8:36 AM - 15 October, 2010
s97.photobucket.com

well here it is. this is my dream mixer. the 2 channel 59-sl
lets start...
the buttons would be the same exact buttons as the apc 40 buttons. and u will be able to remove them just as u would a crossfader. so say for instance u have a heavy hand and u break those buttons. u can replace them as u would a crossfader. u wont be able to replace each button, but just the row of 5 buttons.

the reason for having the 2 rows. is more for midi assigning for what u need.

the blue sound efx are as what they are in the pioneer 800.
however the red ones are more midi assignable buttons. so say u do video liek me ? now u can midi assign those buttons to the features in say VSL or ME. same goes with the knobs. i know with ME i like to mess around with the video and midi assign with effect windows.

then if u look to the right(the yellow buttons) i removed the knob that pioneer used for selecting ur effects and put buttons there. that way u can easily select and effect quicker. its easier than turning a knob.

basically alot of buttons and knobs for midi assigning it! and thats exactly what i need!!!

anyone else ?

no waaaay LOL

look at what everyone is buying. they are buying midi controllers because noone has given them the mixer they need.

this isnt supposed to be a simple mixer. its to support everything that serato has been putting out.

video. cueing. looping. sound efx within the program. all of that. this is the mixer for it all.
The Return of Dj Sparky 10:43 AM - 15 October, 2010

Better be a rotary version.

I dunno man, I think it needs more buttons...
DJ Ritmo 2:09 PM - 15 October, 2010
I can go for a 3 channel scratch live midi mixer. When it comes to DVS the buttons I can assign to midi the better performance I can give cause I use alot of that. Especially with the bridge. We need a 3 channel mixer with midi Im talking total midi with built in sound card. Rane please use firewire this time I cannot give up my zero 4 until some does a firewire mixer.
Henry GQ 5:17 PM - 15 October, 2010
this is more for the VIDEO DJS too. the knobs will help control Mix Emergency. with all their video effects.. u guys can say all u want about OMG theres too many buttons, but u know u need them. and if u dont.. ur just an ordinary dj.

just saying with all the knobs and buttons this is the perfect mixer for me.

oh and where the green buttons are. theres somethign there that there is 4 banks. so that way u can go thru like the nano pad

1) midi is a beautiful feature that really allows folks to customize their set up.
2) there are tons of midi controllers out here
3)folks are now more than ever buying midi controllers
4) There is no mixer out there that has buttons knobs sliders just for midi use only
5) A mixer like henry's makes a lot of sense
DCD 11:59 PM - 15 October, 2010
Also needs the ability to control a nuclear missile from the nightclub. It has enough buttons to look like it.
Henry GQ 12:02 AM - 16 October, 2010
hey man. sooo many people are buying up midi controllers i cant believe that a company isnt comiing out with something that has more buttons and knobs for just midi. midi is the way to go now.

im just sayin to the mixer companies. get ur heads out of ur ass and design something like this.

i think alot of video djs would appreciate this. then they can reach the full potential of video mixing. with all the effects and everything. fuck me. i will pay someone 2500 bucks to make this mixer. no joke.

Unfortunately the 68 has less buttons & is more than 2500. So you're gunna have to raise your offer substantially!

Forget buttons and everyone just make it one big multitouch surface thats completely configurable for MIDI control (including internally MIDI controlled audio)...
Dj Intel Army 2:25 AM - 19 October, 2010
yeah and we could get apple to make it!

and it could look just like a really big ipod touch!

and there could be a wifi and 3g version too!!
Henry GQ 3:11 AM - 19 October, 2010
i prefer knobs or sliders.

in other words use an ipad??
DouggyFresh 1:54 PM - 19 October, 2010
Not an IPad, an IPad-like device that has a digital mixer engine with audio inputs/outputs, built in it controlled by the touchscreen. But now I think more about it, all the times I don't look at the mixer while mixing (because I can feel the slider/knob) I realized my original request is not very practical for real club mixing...
Wazo 5:33 PM - 19 October, 2010
are any of these ideas practical for real club mixing?? lol
spirez 9:26 PM - 19 October, 2010
It's stupid to have everything you want built into a mixer. The beauty of midi controllers is that there are so many with almost endless configurations that almost anyone can find something to suit their needs. I now have the dicer with a nanokontrol and love it.

But if i get bored of the setup I have two relatively cheap controllers that can be swapped out or reconfigured easily at very little cost.
Dj_KaGeN 2:01 AM - 20 October, 2010
with the button history of the 57 [those suckers are kinda small and shitty].. i'd rather have something separate, designed to take more of a beating... granted a midi controller takes up more space..
