I was just wondering how you all manage your crates and or codes? I am looking to redo mine as well as incorporate sixxx's code system and thought i would see how you all do yours to see if any good ideas come up before i start.

for weddings i have a main wedding crate with sub crates , one sub crate for coctail music one for dinner music which is more upbeat, then a 3rd for top requested wedding songs ever which i use mobile beats top 200 for that. works well for me. i also do a crate in i tunes for each specific wedding and delete that crate when wedding is done

i keep cocktail/dinner/background in a separate crate
wedding dance hits in another
wedding dance hits in another

BERTO, did you just use the genres in that email for crates? I am looking more for a crate structure than an agenda for a wedding. Although that email will help me with other stuff I am trying to organize. Thanks.

well what i do when i do a party i make crates according to the party, intro crate would have the first parts of the outline ect ect its more for reference than crate structure, i do the same with sweet 16s intro songs/heaters, then chill music while kiddies eat then line dances of course then bangers, slow songs ect

I always create a new crate for each wedding. I add the specific ceremony & specialty dance songs in order so I can just go down the list for the Entrance/Dances/Ceremonies. After that I add all of the songs requested by the B&G. Make sure History is cleared so I have a clear indicator of all songs played that night. I also have a crate for Cocktail/Dinner music. Everything else I just play from my normal crates - 80's Dance, 80's Rock, Current, etc...
