first off i need to say that since i first saw the demo of the dicer i knew i would need a pair. got them, but had to wait till 2.1 came out for native support. no biggie. they work great! also fyi i had the privilege of seeing Jazzy Jeff in action and he killed his performance with the dicers... i was surprised he was so good with them being they had only been out for about amonth.

I love them. You know how every once in awhile that 1 new piece of eqt or new track drops and it recharges you and gets you hype and work even harder. Well thats how they have been for me.

Inching ever so much closer to NS7/V7 type operation ability... So don't hate on another DJ who uses one. (Not directed at anyone in particular)

When I first got em, I used them for about 15 minutes.... But I noticed I kept using the keyboard more for my cue points.... I don't know but I guess its just a habit.
Since I still load the decks with the hot keys and my hands are already on the keyboard I found it just fast to quickly hit the hot cue buttons and go back to the turntables rather then.....
Load from keyboard...... Move hand to dicer..... Hot Cue.... .Play......
versus

I think I understand..but 15min is hardly enough time to train your brain to work with the Dicers...Dicers were designed for trickin imo...of course they work for a lot of situations from the simple cues to cueing it to make beatz...its hard to hit the keyboard(at least in my experience) without hitting another key sometimes or rockin the laptop on the stand..plus this allows you to keep your laptop off to the side..No not to mention you dont need to mess with the touch pad or mouse when tryin to loop on the fly...plus you can Midi map the SP-6 to trigger stuff...like I said before..Best Benny I've EVER spent ;-)

I was like that when I first got my Denon controller. Now I find it hard to use Scratch Live without it.

wish i could get a pair.. i heard you can scroll and load music with it as well...? that's really great for dj's who aren't able to afford a 57 but likes to be able to scroll and load music without touching lappy. its just that my NX6110 only has 2 USB inputs - one for X-HD, the other for SL1.
you guys have any advice how I can get more inputs without chancing lag/drop issues..? - so i can jump in the Dicer bandwagon ;)

but you cant use with 1.9.2 right?
why are u still using 1.9.2? they will work with that but you need to map the buttons with midi, one peeve was that when they were made available there was no mention of the lack of native support until ssl v2.0.1.

Dicers are dope. I feel like they help me keep my hands "closer to the action" so to speak. I have a 57 and hated pressing the cue buttons on it.
So +1 on the Dicers for me.

I love mine, Bought a pair that was defective, exhanged em same day I had a gig, took em out with me and loved em. I even have a 57sl but I like the dicers for cueing and its nice mapping out the sp6/ect
I dont like the placement on my cdj's though, I actually kept em between my mixer and cdj's with the extra space in my coffin. Im buying TT"s soon though. It was kinda a pre-tt buy.

I'm not a gearhead, can't justify picking up all that is new and hot, but after catching reviews of the dicer I decided to buy up a pair. After having some time to play around with them... absolutely no regrets. The Dicers are very intuitive and a blast to use (set up on 1200s).

finally read enough positive feedback so i picked up a pair last week... only had 2 nights with them so far.... all i can say is wow! the use of space is brilliant, extremely responsive now if only they lit up blue to match my l.e.d.s. and (if they ever get here) under platter lights from china.

Question, Is there a way I can do a loop roll Hold? Like when I trigger the last loop roll i want, then have it continue rolling when I let go of the trigger?

Yea..its called a loop..thats the only way to hold it and you can do that on the dicers but it wont do that tight of a loop...you can however do that tight of a loop by clicking on the loops under the track..it breaks it down to where its that tight..not sure the measure tho.

My only beef is when I have them plugged in, I always have usb issues. I have my sl1 plugged in, and my external hd runs via firewire. Do i just have too many things plugged in with the dicer?

shouldnt be bigga. i cant see the dicers using that much i/o on usb. try using a port on the opposite side of the computer that ur sl1 is plugged into if you have one.

i have them plugged into a powered hub... as i am using a MBP i only have the 2 ports to begin with which immediately turn into 1 when running SL. I have had no issues at all. also you get the ability to pug in a drive or 2 (incase of ever playing along side another dj) and or other controllers or myself i use my phone to tether for a web connection if needed.... hope that helps...

i have the same setup but i was wondering when you plug in 2 drives(yours & another dj) will scratch live be confused on what library of crates to have on there?
the reason why im asking cuz i did a gig last week & this dj wanted to hook up his external hd onto my usb powerred but we were both kinda weird bout what was gonna happen so i just decided to stop the music and had the emcee talk to the crowd for a little so the other dj can hook his harddrive as well but at the same time i took off my first.
was a little sketch on what was gonna so i did it the safe way.
but my question is " CAN 2 external HD be plugged in on a 4 port USB powered hub & be able to read on scratch live as two different libraries?"

i've seen 4 drives plugged in to a machine before its not really a problem just make sure you guys don't have your crates labeled the same or that would get real confusing
