VCI-300 as a mixer and V7s for platter controls.

I've just seen this and it's got me thinking about the ultimate digital DJ setup balancing tactile feel with portability / flexibility.

Two V7s + VCI-300mk2 as a mixer.

Can Serato advise as to whether or not this is supported?

I LOVE this idea. You can have your V7s at home with full platter control, and if you are heading somewhere for a mobile gig that's not got room for your full setup, or you don't have time to put in your full rig, just pick up the VCI-300 and head out the door!

Anyone else got a similar setup and can advise of it's stability ?

It used to work with 1.5, but it looks like for some reason it does not work in 1.7 :-(

Bummer.

I think it should be looked at, I will pop in a feature request for this. I really think it's a brilliant idea, thanks for the video yeahdef.

Both Numark and Vestax would be happy as they both sell more gear. Serato could build in support so that in the external platter configuration the VCi-300 platters switch to SCROLL mode only. I freakin' love it!

Imagine 4 deck support! =]

Well, there's no feature discussion or suggestion forum for ITCH.

I hope someone from vestax / numark / serato is reading this.

Vestax, if you make a motorised platter control that plays nice with the VCI-300 as a mixer then you've got yourself a true winner!

czar - I am not sure how you'd implement 4 deck support with the VCI-300 is all.. not enough buttons.
