Which are the recommended ones and which are the one users like the most?

I have a Digitech GNX FC (3 square pedals). It was on the list along with another Digitech model that has 3 silver round buttons. I didn't compare them, I liked the feel of the square so I went with that. Price is under $40 USD.

I have the Digitech FS300 (3 round pedals) I think both work well. Any pedal should work apart from guitar pedals. The buttons have to be momentary non latching.

Damn they are all pretty much the same... I guess its a choice based on looks (metal round buttons or square platic).

Well since I do mostly mobile gigs and the parties are usually all you can drink... the floors tend to get a bit sticky at the end of the night... so I'm now leaning more towards the metalic round that is on a bit of an angle.
Thx everyone for the help!

I had the Digitech FS3X, but I returned it. I never used the pedal, so it was just cluttering up my space, but it is a sturdy pedal, and I would recommend it if you think you are going to use a footswitch.

Anyone know any good online locations that have these pedals for cheap? I would buy one here in Canada but they want like $80CDN + tax for one...

I went to Long & McQuade and they could order them for me. They didn't seem to have any in stock.

In the manual it sais that Rane recommends 'good footpedals' like the Digitech FS300 and the Digitech GNXFC.
I personally see more feet pressing comfort in the GNXFC with the bigger buttons.

I just got that DigiTech FS3X. It's so nice. Such a different element. I am now a real guitar player.

Yeah, I've been workin off mine for a few months now. I'm loving it. Very solidly built. I just wish they made a right angle connector for the three pole cord so it doesn't stick out so much.
I still want to try the Digitech GNX FC with the big buttons sometime. I didn't buy it originally because I was afraid of hitting multiple buttons with my big ol' feet.

i had a KORG PS-1 with my old pioneer 909 and it worked great for what i wanted it to do - just turn effects like echo on or off for my scratches - it doesn't work with my new ttm57sl - looking online at tc helicon and the digitech pedals suggested and they have a million settings on them i am not interested in - can someone suggest a simpler option?

I've got the DigiTech FS3X. It works well. My only complaint is that the buttons are a little too close together. When you really get rockin you might accidently hit two buttons at the same time (or the wrong button)...depending on how wide your shoe is.
But once you get use to it. it's mint.

The PS-1 should work with the 57 make sure you change the footswitch setting to single pedal in SSL.

thanks nobspangle - i did set it to '1' in settings but its still awkward to operate - one click put's effect bank 1 on, then another click turns the second bank on, then another click to turn off bank 1 then another to turn off bank 2 and so on . . . there must be some other options i need to set in serato for this but the manual booklet is pretty pathetic with respect to info for the foot pedal stuff. . . i'll keep researching

OK, I must admit I've only ever used a 3 position switch. I assumed that a single switch would do the same as button 1 on my switch, obviously not.

I want to pick up a foot switch, i am going to integrate my efx 500 into my setup when i gig out, so i was thinking of using the footswitch to assign loop functions to it.
Question
In this thread they mention designing one specifically made for the 57, any word on a release date for that??? I am willing to wait for it if its coming out :)

I ordered the FS3X and I would like to use it to sample external sources (mic or live guitar on stage) and scratch them right away. Is it possible to assign 2 midi controllers-functions to one pedal? Example: I click ones and it starts sampling and with the second click the sample gets to Deck 1 so I can scratch it?
I would like also to push the pedal to active the record and loop-in at the same time (on Deck 2 for example), scratch a sound and push the pedal again to stop the recording and close the loop. After that the loop should play till I press the botton again.
The goal is to scratch 4 or 5 sounds, record them, loop them and play them together one after the other to build a song.
In the 90's dj's were using samplers and a 4 channel mixer to play the different samples...what about Serato? IS it possible to recreate that cascade of functions?
I know you guys can help me!
Peace

I have the DigiTech FS3X... and found it a waste of time.
It stopped working with Serato after a few months and when I sent it to get repaired they said there is nothing worng with it.. it still doen't work with Serato.
I found the MPD24 to be a much more usefull enhancment.
