You're already familiar with ScratchTools ? Most all DJ's I know around the globe haven't heard of this tool....

Word up RogerRabbit :)
RogerRabbit 3:30 PM - 10 June, 2010
Yes the programmer nik is on this forum.. And Konix made a vid about scratchtools a while back
Tierra Studios 3:50 PM - 10 June, 2010
Yesm, those guys are awesome. I found their video to be a bit confusing, so I made a new one myself to promote their amazing tool. IT HAS TRANSFORMED my dj'ing. Thank you Nik and Konix.

Serato needs to just slide nik a chunk of money so he can actually code a GUI for us command-line n00bs!
Tierra Studios 9:11 PM - 10 June, 2010
Exxxxactly! Until then, ScratchTools FTW

Thanks for the how-to :)

Scratch Tools 0.9 is just about to be released... It will offer a few new functions, like...

- sync supports video files
- a better installer (no more UAC hassle)
- better support for Windows 64
- easier commandline (it will try to guess the library location)
- and... import/sync your iTunes playlist as crates!

I am excited about the last feature because it means you can still use iTunes... but you can import your iTunes playlists as crates. This makes it possible to use your library on a different computer (backup purposes, easyness).

Unfortunately I am just about to leave for holidays tomorrow (Africa.. I am coming!! :) ), so I can't publish the new release for the public. If anyone wants to try the new beta, please send me a PM.

Oh, thats version 0.0.9, not 0.9 ;)
DJ_X_Trodinaire 8:33 PM - 11 June, 2010
Im still too scared to use it :(

Sorry, I dont understand what you are trying to achieve. ScratchTools does not read or add Smart Crates. Smart Crates do not sync with folders yet. Thats where Scratchtools comes in, ... and of coursr other places ;-)

Wait, so you want to make folders on your hard drive with the contents of your Smart Crates? You don't need ScratchTools to do that, you can this now in 2.0 with the Advance File Management feature.

yea i thought about that after i asked the question and then at the same time i thought it wouldn't help me that much because then my smart crates might have some of the same songs thus creating doubles which is definitely what i don't want.
