Itch and NS7 problems with display the Master of signal

Sorry for my English !

Hello!

At adjustment GAIN the indicator reacts normally.
At switching METER MODE on MASTER, the indicator shows signal level on the middle.
At addition or reduction MASTER the sound varies, and the indicator and remains on the middle.

In program TRACTOR or VIRTUAL DJ at adjustment MASTER the indicator reacts normally.

Look here, in Traktor Dj all works as it is necessary

How to me to regulate level of signal Master which leaves on the amplifier ?

^ You are assuming that the LEDs measure the output of the AMPLIFIER in the NS7 (or other platforms) after the sound is converted to an analog signal. I don't think that that is the design of the LEDs.

I suspect that the LEDs are controlled by ITCH, not by actually measuring the amplifier's output. Since ITCH has no idea about the amplifier, it can't tell how how the signal is. So the LEDs reflect what ITCH's output is relative to 0db PRIOR to being amplified.

FWIW, most MIDI-based controllers work the same way. If you want to gain-stage the main output, you'll have to do it externally to the ITCH platform (i.e. at another mixer).

^ EDIT (to my response):

ASIO (and I assume CoreAudio) has the ability to "monitoring" the output. As Traktor uses both, they seem to be using it to measure the output.

ITCH may or may not use this feature and doesn't seem to be doing the same thing. Maybe we should request this as a feature.

In any mixer there is such function by management Master of signal and its conclusion to the display...

So why it isn't present in ITCH?

^ I can't answer that. It's probably a bug.
