I have Serato SL1 and when calibrating, I have problems. On the right deck, Everything is fine. The Circle is small, but everything works. On the left deck it is just a line. I tried switching PGM between line and phono on both my decks, and the program with no luck. I changed the needles, and the one on the right still worked, while the left didn't. I changed the inputs on my interface, and the problem just switched, so it's not the interface. The left deck works when I cut up breaks on PHONO, but not with the Serato vinyl. I tried switching the vinyl as well, no luck. I really don't know what it could be. I tried adjusting tonearm weight as well, and no effect. What could my problem be?

A Line on your scope indicates that a channel is missing, most likely t will. Be your turntable or the cartridge connections.

Hi Kocktoach,

Is the scope view you are seeing on this page? -> www.serato.com (click link)

I also have this same problem. Brand new cartridge. the line is the large diagonal line, it also sometimes changes to the diamond fuzzy square. Ive tried switching cables around but nothing. suggestions?

I's pretty new to this stuff. thanks

Hi Dolso,

A diagonal line means that the left and right channels have been summed to mono. Ensure your cables are properly connected and try swapping headshells. If this fails you my need to have your turntables serviced. This is quite an uncommon problem!
