Hello,

my itch software crashes all the time when i load a file.
I made a appointment with the representing company man of numark in holland.
We tried to find the sollution for my problem.
At the time i was running snow leopard, we changed back to normal leopard.
So everythin should be working now.

After weeks of frustration we discovered what the problem was.

I download all my music.
When you download music in a torrent, the information is send to you in in small packs. When you miss one or more packs of the file, itch will get crazy and crash down.

The sollution is: Write software that analyze the files, if they are corrupt, let the software auto-delete them.

I have too check 65Gb Of music now 1 by 1 with the previeuw function from my macbook. And this takes really long.

So let the analyze function please remove them automatic.

If i press analyze button it will allso crashdown if it meets a corrupt file.

One more thing, all my POD-meters specially them from the EQ, are all fucked afer the use of 2 months.

Fix it please, Marijn van Gerven, THE Netherlands

Hi LP8124,

ITCH already has an analyze files function which will flag your files as corrupt. There's no auto-delete function as we don't want ITCH to remove files from a users library, that should be for them to decide.

I think the best solution here would be to purchase your music legally from reputable sites, not get the by using torrents. Torrenting music is illegal, and there is no guarantee to the quality of the files.

Hello, you did not look at my story proper.

If you press analyze Itch will get stuck!!!

so itch wil not report it as a broken file.

even files itch say they are perfectly fine get stuck.

cpu gets to max, itch not responding.

only way to prevent this is to check all the files manually.

if you do not believe me, contact dj chainsaw, this is ya representer in Holland.

Marijn

(not gonna buy music! gimme a million and i will.)

And its better to auto-delete them than let people play with them.

the I was playin fo 600people and the ns7 got stuck 2 times.

Me got paid 170 instead of 250...

I did read your story proper: You torrent your music and these files make ITCH crash.

Look, the best advice I can give you is if you've invested in professional DJ gear and want to be paid for your services then invest in good quality audio files! Not only does it give you piece of mind, it supports the artist and in turn they can make more music.

So unless you're willing to change the way you source your music, you're always going to have this problem. Plain and simple.

"Me got paid 170 instead of 250"?????? thats your problem right there my dude....stop doing those dora the explorer parties and get your weight up....`im sorry about the problems your having but when doing a party and if you can record a 2hr long mix and save to It to itunes....make sure you you bring a rca adapter to fit your laptop and play the mix until you can fix the problems on the Ns7...or just bring 2 laptops like I do....granted if your doing parties for 250 it will be awhile before you get a decent spare with a good media center but it will be worth in the end. also in the words of my man Kool DJ Red alert..."thats your time and your talent, never sell it short for anyone"....get that paper!!!!!

yo guys,

allmohst all dj's download their music, why else would ya play with a system like this?

if you really want to support the industry, buy vinyll or cd's and play as a pro...

so for the people who have this same problem, check your files mannually and delete them if you notice anything weird.

Respectfully personally I feel this is similar to siphoning gas then calling BMW to complain that that gas caused a problem with your motor. You wouldnt steal gas would you?

Any ways, I think you need to re-evaluate your sourcing or as you suggested check the files at least manually and understand that sourcing music this way is at your own risk.

Agreed. Pay for your stuff, get a few subscriptions, there are plenty of profeccional DJ MP3 pools and CD services, or even better, download from whitelabel!!L

Like Michael R said, you've invested a good amount in gear, get some decent, legit audio files.

LP8124,

I think you're really missing the point here. If you think that "every" DJ pirates music then I'm afraid you're sorely mistaken.

I'm going to close and lock this thread, it's up to you now to think about how you wish to move forward.
