When I open Itch 1.5 it crashes at any point I press REC. It stops functioning and then closes. I've never gotten it to work since I downloaded 1.5.
How can I fix this?

Hi FrankieR.
Can you please give me your computer specs (make, model, CPU, RAM, and any other USB devices used).
Does ITCH crash and close itself, or does it freeze and make you force quit?
What exactly happens when it crashes?
Cheers.

It's an HP desktop computer.
AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ (2.60 GHz)
4.00GB (3.50 usable since I'm running a 32bit OS)
I try to avoid having any other USB devices in use while running the VCIs to avoid having the USB Bandwidth exceed. I only have the VCIs and my USB mouse/keyboard plugged and being used at the same.
Itch freezes and forces me to quit. I click record and then I see this (see image)

Can you please run the DPC latency checker.
This will produce a report for latency or IRQ conflicts on your system.
Go here: www.thesycon.de
Download then play audio in ITCH and run the DPC.exe.
You will be shown a bar graph , GREEN (SAFE) Yellow (Caution) Red (Dropouts).
You will also be given a report of any conflicting hardware or software.

This issue hasn't been resolved yet. Does anyone know what's wrong?

Can you go into the ITCH Setup screen and let me know what the 5 digit number inside brackets is from the lower left hand corner of the screen?

The numbers are 15047. (1 5 0 4 7. Repeating to show that there is no typo.)

OK. So it is the final version of ITCH 1.5.
Did this happen before 1.5?
Can you also try plugging the USB devices into other ports on your computer? It could be that the internal USB hub inside the computer is acting up.

It isn't the USB port. I've tried all of them and it doesn't work. I never tried recording on earlier versions of ITCH.

Have you got any corrupt files?
Make sure you have analyzed all files - and then click on the ALL... crate, then click the top of the first column in the main library view, this will sort all similar status of track. If any have a broken CD icon then you will need to remove these from your library, this could be the cause of the issue.
