PC Video-SL Preset MIA?

PC Video-SL Preset MIA?

Sorry if this has been answered.

I was following the tutorial for Video conversion via handbrake and there is suppose to be a download PC Video-SL Preset but it is only for mac?

any help?

no that link is for mac


according to the thread there is suppose to be a file called "'VIDEO-SL.hb'"

I do not see it when i unzip the file

I only see
Video-SL Preset.plist

unless they are the same? someone needs to change the paragraph then :)

They should be the same. Move the plist file to a location on your computer like Documents folder. In Handbrake go to Presets in the file menu and import from the stored location.

I know they are working on both the Mac and Win presets. There have been some encoding issues with the new build of Handbrake because of the x264 settings. Once you get it installed and start encoding, please repost with how it's working out.

k i tried it but instruction was a bit off..

I imported the preset instead of what was written.

I tried couple files turned them from mkv file to mp4

loaded them on VSL sound is working but no vid
works fine via Quicktime

Im still using Demo VSL, wanted to try if video mixing is working with my pc.

You didn't mention that it was from mkv to mp4. As far as I know Handbrake doesn't handle mkv files very well. You will need Quicktime Pro to reencode them. Otherwise try
FFMpeg www.videohelp.com or
MKVTools www.emmgunn.com

I'm not familiar with either of those. I'm on Mac and all of my sources are vob or iso.

do you have haali and ffmpeg installed?

i was just following the direction there were no mentions of those things.

dude look for media coder free pc software which converts just about any and everything. Try that of course you would need to know some setting to make them perfect but seach the fourms for it and you will find the setting somewhere. Good luck hit me if you need any more help... I have both mac and pc started on PC and converted all of them with PC... I don't do that any more most come in MP4 format...
