I' having the same problem. Previous Itunes songs are have been playing after I downloaded Itunes plus. Now the last few songs I have downloaded are showing up in the library and loading and displaying the name of the trak by the virtual turntable but without the waveform so it won't play.

What should I do?

Hi Chad Lopez.

Can you please download and install the ITCH 1.5 beta from here:
serato.com

Read over the rules and guidelines for beta software.
Let me know if that fixes the issues you are having.

Thanks.

It says "corrupt file: This file structure is incorrect"

Make sure you re-analyze all these files before checking again.
Chad Lopez 11:42 PM - 17 January, 2010
all files have been analyzed and it's still showing up as corrupts

I mean, you need to re-analyze these files in ITCH 1.5 again before they will show up as normal (non-corrupt) files.

k this serato guy...no offence doesn't really know....k there is NOTHING wrong with your COMPUTER or ITCH or anything, other than the music itself. When you download, especially off of a laptop you can lose little bits of information. That makes Itch think that it is corrupt, so if you take the song and through Itunes make a high-quality MP3 version it will work; I had the same problem and the supplier of VCI-300 for my city told me this. It works for me now, so I would give it a try.

Yes I am doing that, I download ACC files from Itunes, then I convert the files in itunes
using 320 kbps CBR and I can play the songs in ITCH.

it seems that the songs do not loose quality, so I guess they are equal to any regular
320 kbps CBR, am I correct?

JKKRAFT - sorry, there is a known issue at present with some newly downloaded tunes in iTunes. It isn't to do with lost data chunks not being data checked properly.

DJ Chele - if you have re-analyzed and it hasn't fixed this issue with these corrupt files, can you please upload a couple of tracks for us to test. Thanks.
DJKKRAFT 3:02 AM - 21 January, 2010
wait, there's an actual problem? What is it?

I hate itunes...so much hastle with the music :S

It seems that iTunes may have been doing something new to the audio for new tracks downloaded with the data that we were reading as corrupt.

haha - yeah, iTunes is a bit of a nightmare!
DJ Chele 2:06 PM - 21 January, 2010
Matt-C

what I meant, is that I am able to convert ACC songs to mp3 using itunes at 320 kbps CBR,
I have been able to load in ITCH as mpe, analyze, get wave form data and so forth
I have listen to the songs with a loud systems and the quality is good,

I just wanted to get someonelse's opinion on this issue

I would like to make sure that I am not losing too much quality
DJKKRAFT 5:03 PM - 21 January, 2010
you shouldn't be losing quality...if u chose "highest quality" you should be fine, if anything the song sounds better..

k wait, have you guys talked to Apple/Itunes? or is itch going to have to change for whatever there doing to the tracks?
DJ Chele 7:57 PM - 21 January, 2010
DJKKraft,

sounds good,

thank you for your input!

I would be careful about down-sampling any audio. Each time you convert audio you loose information (and quality).

If you are running ITCH 1.5 and you re-analyzed the corrupt files, you are saying they are still coming up as corrupt.
DJ Chele 2:06 PM - 22 January, 2010
Matt-C

that is my concern that I can loose quality,

so you reccommend not converting ACC files?

Also, is ITCH 1.5 Beta officially good to go? (no bugs, fixes, etc)

No, a beta release is just that, a beta release. A final release will be coming when the development and test teams are satisfied it's extremely stable.

You may as well play AAC files if you have them.
DJKKRAFT 4:31 AM - 19 March, 2010
hey, the 1.5 does have bugs...mine keeps freezing and not responding...and it happened once during a gig- making me cut the music for about 20 seconds in order to restart itch and get the music back up.
