Last night I djed with it for 5 hours straight no hiccups.no freezing or USB dropouts.
That was the first time I used it in a bar. I hate to say this but it looks like my SL1 will stay at Home for awhile :0
I hope it can cure Hangover to.
This are my laptop specs:

4 gb RAM
1.0.4 Itch

Nice to hear... Same conclusion for me.
Last weekend, I even forgot to take my cd's with me (as back up)... :-O
luckely nothing happened...
Just a few lower green Leds stop working in the VU metering once and a while, but that's harmless.. They start working again, after a new song is loaded.
Basically, not a single issue since a few months now..
one word untill now.: Rocksolid!
Hope this thing will not let me down ever!
Going to play 2 gigs this weekend with itch again...
tonight rather big gig for +7 hours play, and tomorrow a smaller gig for +5 hours...

It's just the Idea of not bringing your turntables and a mixer saves alot of time specially when your doing mobile like I do.
Don't get me wrong I still bring my turntable for Private parties which pays alot more but for House parties and Djing in Bars and Club VCI-300 is my weapon of choice. and for al the haters I could'nt care less.
It's better than bringing 2 ipods.

Yeah, Maskrider. I agree.
I'm also mobile in most of the cases and I'm in the business for 15 years now.
I played on all sorts of gear now (vinyl, cd's and since almost a year on PC aswel)
I started to use itch for big gig's aswel. Yesterday I played for 8.5 hours non-stop.
Itch just goes on and on, not a single hick-up, nothing. (and believe me, i push the buttons and spin the wheels sometimes like a madman... :-D)
I'm really happy with this peace of gear.
In the club where i played yesterday, even some pretty known DJ's came and had a look... First with a smile like... oh, another loser, it's a computer DJ.... Afterwards, when they heared the mixes, scratches and loops, they come again and ask how much this itch thing actually costs... Muhahahahaa.
One remark: The output (both output and headphones) and headroom are just a bit on the limit...
Another big remark towards Vestax, The black knobs are a hell in dark places... You can't see their position without light. So a usb light on the mixer is big recommendation...
The ideal piece of gear would be, the VCI which you can use as analog mixer also with loads of headroom, with XLR connections, and some extra fx buttons (illuminated if possible)..
I wouldn't care if this mixer uses an extra plug or adapter.
If they ever plan to produce such a mixer, they won't have to convince me to buy it.

This are my laptop specs:
Vista 64
4 gb RAM
1.0.4 Itch
In the required sys specs on the Itch page, Vista 64 is still listed as non compatible.
So how did you manage do get it working ? :)
Thanks :)

I was told by one of the developers here on the forum that the new Version of ITCH which is 1.09 supports the Vista 64.

Well i have been doing research on this for a while. So i bought one presidents day at GC.. Had a sale. So i grabbed one came in the mall thursday (earlier today) i dl the interface so it looked very familier to scratch live just different but same concept. Played with it for 30 mins at the house. Broke the back sensitivity knob in the back.. I was pissed but i can still turn it with a lil screwdriver. But it seemed like i had to set it up perfect cause it wouldnt scratch unless i pressed harder then normal. Well i had a lil gig on thursdays, Something small so i said screw it. After 30 mins i did a live gig and it worked great. Just one problem after a while my left jog wheel acted up where it wouldnt scratch so i had to adjust the sensitivity and it was the one with the knob broke off. But after that it worked great. Dont know if the knob had anything to do with it but i can still turn just the plastic knob fell off. Gonna take it for lil gigs now and maybe the club one of these weekends when i get more familiar. Sorry for the long post just wanted to let ya know or if anybody reads this who thinks about getting one will make you get one. Its really worth it. Size, accuracy, production. I love it...

the knob is a potentiometer and you would want to get it replaced soon. the plastic part holds on the metal connection in the back it will get weak and break off..... you can look into getting a side mounted single turn potentiometer for about 2 dollars and it is a simple soldering job

Just back from a gig... 4hrs without a single glitch.
Rock solid, even if it's my studio machine charged with Logic Studio 8, Apogee Mobile drivers, and all kind of Audio Units. Amazing, 2 thumbs up.
As a side note, the guest dj had a Toshiba pc, Hercules console and Traktor... The gap between the 2 setups side by side was almost embarassing. Itch just looks gorgeous compared to Traktor, not to mention the vci300 buttons glowing in the dark :)

This is what I like about Serato. Solid, quality consience. You can reply on it in front of a crowd of many . The others are feature filled, but always in beta mode and full of bugs.

If I was a pimp,
SSL would be my top earning whore and Itch is just a whiny little bitch.
I'm praying they work the kinks out because I really like the concept and size of the unit but I had serious meltdown freeze at a gig last night. Also, my microphone always produces an annoying echo....

I had an interesting one the other night - I had a nasty ol freeze right in the middle of my 2 hour set, ok so what happened was...I use a macbookpro 10.4.11 OSX with 2GB RAM... was not using a power adaptor just USB and a dodgy non-official macbook adaptor (ebay cheapy from China), after about 1hour 20 mins I started to smell burning....Oh **** i thought, so I wiggled the power supply and I heard a bit of feedback over the sound system and then the left deck froze and right deck kept playing. Luckily I had some CDJ's so I reverted to them. The USB the would not work (said something about not receiving data) so I rooted and changed USB and it was okay again..
I now have an adaptor so not reliant on USB power..anyway you can check my mix (depp tech house)before the crash at:

Another 2 amazing DJ Sets with ITCH.
On Friday night, in Austria, techno/hardstyle set, 1.5 hrs, rich of scratches, spinbacks, and raw sampling (via cue points), not a single glitch.
Tonight in Italy, 3 hrs Dance set, not a single glitch.
This thing is amazing... it made me change dramatically the way I mix and build my sets, for the better, and I'm a pro since 1990.

haha,I got the same feeling about this piece of gear, I'm also Pro for more then 115 years, so not as long as you, but long enough to evaluate it, i guess...
itch gave me new ideas for mixing. I was loosing a bit my interest in DJ'ing the last years, but since I have Itch I can't wait to spin it every day...
And the new beta release is making it even better... :-))
