Anybody going to be buying any? It's great having access to the tracks so quickly but am curious how the quality is. I may buy a few to test out over the weekend.

They have 256 AAC audio, so that's not bad. But if they were mixed at old the old TV standard (-12db) the sound is still pretty weak and the waveforms look like crap in Serato. The picture bitrate is 1000-1600 and the keyframes can range from every 70 to around 200.

You can't really know what you're gonna get until you buy 'em. But they do play with no problems.

But the announcement about dropping DRM mainly applies to the music side. There aren't any new little plus signs next to the price on the videos yet.

Actually the announcement applies to the music video side as well and there are quite a few videos available to purchase already. I bought the Beyonce Diva video last night and was able to fire it up in Serato no problem. I still need to test it out over the weekend to see how it looks at an event.
