Pitch plays extremely slow on left deck.

The pitch on my left deck plays at half the speed it normally play at. When you switch it to internal mode you have to change the setting from 1/2 to 1x. How do I get the pitch to stay correct in absolute mode? I have 2 gigs this weekend & need to use both turntable. PLEASE HELP!!!
