ok before i updated to the new version i had 1.8.0 version and i had a private party to dj. i couldn't helped but noticed that my needles were kind of moving slowly forward when my plates were stopped i have never had this issue before...... what i use with serato is djx700 mixer (i know its not the best but for now its getting my job done and i think its a great mixer for you beginners out there) 2 x ( numark tt500) 1x alienware lap top with windows vista i believe its the 32bit operation system not the 64 cdj800. like i said i have never had an issue with serato before but this is driving me crazy another issue that i seemed to notice is that the top right numbers on the set up menu which are suppose to be -0.0 and not move when the needle is on the record and the record is stoped even when the needles are not on the vinyl the numbers keep switching around and also when my mixer and my tables are turend off it keeps doing the same thing i thought i needed new needles which by this time i probably do and and also when i talked to costumer service they told me that since my equipment is at my house my estimate bar shouldn't be all the way down to -24 but it is

this is how the box on the set up menu looks when the turntables are off or even stoped

when i hit the play button for them to spin i do get a nice full round circle but it is not clear which probably is weare of vinyl or my needles and again the percentage is below 50% which kind of scares me it ranges from 10-50%
please help me i have a show comming up and i don't have a clue what to do?

Well it seems you are having a calibration issue. Seems your cables coming from your Numark TTs need to be replaced. You might also want to get a new pair of stylus for your needles.

To troubleshoot this, use another friends TTs or CDjs and see if you get the same issues.

thanks for getting back at me so quick
i don't think that's the issue but i will check it you guys know more then i do hehehehehhehe but why my easter egg trick worked for a while then when i turned my computer off and then turned it back on it didn't work anymore i tried to create a new folder again followed the steps but still it didn't work it sayed the loop has been enabled but still didn't work with tht alt T or alt G......do i have to create a new folder everytime i open up serato for the easter egg roll trick or loop i still think there might be something wrong with my mixer maybe a ground problem because when i go from line to phono it makes a big humming noise it depends how high the volume is really or is the issue my laptop maybe some kind of spyware problem

I think the issue is in your TTs. I would get them looked at.

As for the Loop Roll, make sure to add a song to the crate or else it will dissappear when you close SSL. And yes, the crate must be there if you want to use the effect.

ok here is what i found out this is crazy but i found the problem :) i think i got an interference somewhere as i said i am running on one outlet my lap top, my numarks, my mixer, my cdj800, and next to this table i have another desktop talbe with my printer, a small fan, pc, my sterio that is connected to my pc (so i can turn up the volume as high as i need and this are all plugged in to a different outlet).... it is no problem with my tt's because the minute i unplugg my master output cable that runs from my mixer to my pc for recording it goes back to normal, the record doesn't play slowly or anything it is perfect the threshold is at around -38db and it is fine runs at 100% but the minute i plug the master cable to go threw my pc for recording it acts all weird again and it goes back to low 70's% 50's% . another guy told me that there might be an interference than somewhere what is it if i had an interference somewhere why it didn't do it before i have had this for over 6 months on the same spot! why now that's what is really confusing me?

i found the prob with the egg roll too
my caps lock wasn't turned on so now i just unchecked the "play back key use shift" and it is there now and can use it without turning the caps lock on

finally i found what the whole problem was....ok so i said to myself "well i didn't have this problem when i had all my power cables running underneath my table that i use for all my equipment" so i turned everything off and i ran all my power cables under the table like i had done since the beggining instead running them along the top of the table with serato and everything else....after i ran the cables undeer the table problem solved and we are back to normal :) thanks for your support rane you guys are awsome i am so relieved right you have no idea :)

..., a small fan, ...

fans are notorious for putting dirty power signals out. i always gig with a fan, but run it on a different power strip from audio equipment.

also, never really good for audio/video cables to run next to power cables. if possible, have them intersect at as close to a 90ยบ angle as possible to avoid interference.
