Well now can play your video/loops When I drag a avi movie video the software quits unexpectedly (I have to relaunch every time)and the manual says that supports avi formats. I got It to play mpeg-4 movie, but some of them sounds like the chipmunks. Some mpeg-4movie has only audio and some of them can't be read. Most of my videos are on avi and mpeg any recoendations?

I suggest installing a Quicktime component called Perian -->> perian.org
By default Quicktime sucks at playing avi files and Perian might help.
Give Perian and try and let me know how it works out.

Out of 40 avi videos I played 2 worked fine (Audio & Video). 3 couldn't get read. 2 sent me to relaunch the software(Hope that does not happen at the club when I start mixing videos). One video played audio every 10 seconds (at very slow tempo[Slow deep voice])I played it w/Quik time player and It did good. One payed audio only And the rest of the videos played w/out audio.

We here at Rane don't have access to the uploaded files. We will need to wait for the Serato mods to take a look at it and chime in.

Hi Luis,
The problem with your files is that they have an .mp3 audio stream. This, combined with an Xvid video codec inside an .avi container is generally not good news. I recommend re-encoding from the original source, using H.264 video, with .AAC audio.

Alternatively, the newest version of Handbrake should be able to do this for you Luis.
