I have like 500 gigs worth of music and I have lots of doubles in some songs maybe triples. Is there a program that can spot all the multiple songs that I have? I wanna clean it up but going through 500 gigs will take a long time. Does anybody have this prolem or does anybody know a program?

if they are all of the same filename..... itunes can do it.

If it's the same file name...Go to the tab file in iTunes, then click show duplicates. Good Luck!

Is there actually another program besides Itunes that does that. All the music is on an external

If I try to erase a dupliate song under itunes it still shows on the external HD. Does anyone know why Itunes doenst erase it from the HD if the file is pointing to it?

Does using shift + ctrl + del remove it from your HD as well as from Itunes?

Usually when you delete a file from your iTunes library it asks if you also want to send it to the trash. Make sure that you're choosing to send the file to the trash.

I used EF Duplicate MP3 Finder....It will find doubles, triples, even files that are close to the name...I cleared up a ton of space using it. Google it.

Me, I don't have dup files and you have to pay for the software. To me, no need.
