Lucid Beatgrids
Serato DJ now uses a new Beatgrid analysis engine that produces significantly more accurate Beatgrids across a wider range of music. The new algorithm understands tempo changes, dynamic tracks, live drumming, and complex intros and outros, placing tempo markers throughout the entire track.
Beatgrid BPM Resolution: Configure BPM changes to be at Bar or Beat level.
Waveform BPM Labels: The waveform display now shows BPM labels at points where tempo changes occur.
New Beatgrid Edit Controls:
- Set Grid Start: Set a new position for the first downbeat marker while keeping the existing Beatgrid.
- Set Beat/Set Bar: Set either Beat or Bar level tempo markers.
Cue Loops: Trigger a cue point and a loop simultaneously with a single pad press or mouse click.
Open Streaming: Log into and use more than one streaming provider at the same time.
iOS Transfer: Easily transfer files from Serato DJ Pro to Serato DJ for iOS.
Other Changes
- Added Protect Library feature.
- Added the ability to import .M3U files.
- Added a 'Reset Played Tracks' button to the History panel.
- Added an Explicit column. This populates from streaming services and can also be set manually for local files.
- Status and Type columns can now be hidden.
- Columns can be shown or hidden for all crates when Custom Crate Columns is enabled.
- 'All Crate' search (via the Ctrl + F keyboard shortcut or the 'All' button) now uses the same columns and sort order as the All Crate when Custom Crate Columns is enabled.
- Tidal and SoundCloud now display provided Key and BPM (if available).
- Tidal “Tidal for DJs” playlists can now be enabled.
- Streaming tracks can now be saved directly to the platform's collection of liked/favourited songs via the right-click context menu (where supported).
- Tidal and SoundCloud playlists selected while the library is loading are now prioritised.
- Updated drivers for macOS Tahoe for various Pioneer DJ hardware.
- Serato DJ can no longer be installed on macOS 11 Big Sur and earlier.

- Improved library search speed on large libraries, and results now keep up with typing.
- Improved library responsiveness on Windows when selecting, searching, sorting and switching crates, particularly with an HDD or slow SATA SSD drive.

- Fixed a memory leak when resizing the album artwork column with tracks that have no artwork.
- Fixed an issue where the GUI lagged when scrolling the library with album art at the smallest size.
- Fixed an issue where the Associate Video button state is incorrect when the associated video file is missing.
